The Medici Family Crest
The stunning table in the middle of our main lobby, handmade by Pitti Mosaici which is one of the few remaining family run businesses in Florence mastering the ancient art of Pietra Dura inlay, a tradition created by the Medici. During your stay you’ll recognize many of the Medici crests around the property: on the entrance doors and the reception desk, on the room keys, on the pins worn by our staff. Pitti Mosaici has inlayed exclusively for the hotel the amazing Medici Family Crest you can admire here: each ball of the crest comes with a unique stone, each one with different powers.
